Leadership
Rocky Kim
CEO
As the founder of global accelerator Next Challenge Foundation and Next Challenge University,
Rocky believes in the power of passion and faith. In 2011, he founded Convergence Talent
Academy which nurtured 460 young graduates equipped with survival skills in the era of uncertainty.
With the experience as a professor of Global Entrepreneurship Center of Hanyang University,
he continues his challenge for the innovation of higher education consolidating the diversity of
global culture, region, history and technology. In addition to his dedication in nurturing future
entrepreneurs, he is one of the Gurus in devising the integrated model of startup eco-system,
smart cities, urban regeneration and entrepreneurship education.
Rocky is also a writer, his publications include <Mutant Wolf>, <Attack on Wolf > that depict the
startup community as wolves. <Mutant Wolf> was included textbook of Korean public high
schools' entrepreneurship education.
jinkyo Choi
Vice President / COO
As a nomadic startup accelerator and edtech enthusiast, Choi believes in the power of cognitive
skills in reshaping the impact of exponential technologies to answer the Big Questions derived from
the world’s complex system.
Choi has abundant experience in both entrepreneurship and edtech. After working for Samsung
C&T in global expansion R&D team, she dived deeply into the startup industry. She had been the
director of Startup Eco-system Development of Next Challenge Foundation to create a sustainable
localized startup system across the country, connecting the diverse communities of educators,
entrepreneurs and corporates.
Choi spent 13 years in China, after graduating from Seoul National University and working in diverse
fields, she joined Minerva University’s Masters in Decision Analysis Program, which
provided a backbone for leaping into the future of higher education.
Rusydi
Vice President
Khairul Rusydi lives at the intersection of tech, youth development and Entrepreneurship Education (EntreEd). He was a previous Enterprise Singapore (ESG) scholar, and a graduate of the VC Unlocked programme with Stanford and 500 Global.
Rusydi has previously served on the boards of various youth development organizations, including *SCAPE, Advisory and The Young SEAkers. Most notably, he served on the Youth Action Panel with the Singapore Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth (MCCY), as well as the Alliance for Action with the Ministry of Manpower.
Rusydi currently leads Reactor (www.reactor.school) as the co-founder and CEO. Reactor School works with 300+ high schools and 50+ universities in the APAC region to help students turn their ideas into companies. Thereafter, Reactor Ventures helps to syndicate investments in student-led startups, with an average ticket size of SGD $100k per team.
